Direct drive rotary motors (DDR) are motors that are designed to drive loads directly without the need of any transmission mechanism , such as gear or belts. These motors are also called torque motors. They use high energy permanent magnets to generate high torque . Akribis offers various types of DDRs, including AFR-A series , ADR-P , ADR-T series and ACD series. We also design customized direct drive motors according to spec. All Akribis direct drive rotary motors are equipped with optical encoders. With higher encoder resolution after interpolation, Akribis rotary motors can satisfy your need of precision in any type of demanding applications
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
The ADR-A series motors are iron core type of brushless motors. Through our unique winding design, our ADR-A series have high slot fill factor and produce very high torque.
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
The ADR-B series motors are iron core type of brushless motors. Through our unique mechanical design, the ADR-B series have bigger center hole than ADR-A series. And the have same slot fill factor and torque density as ADR-A series.
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
The ADR-P series are frameless motor. Through same electromagnetic design as ADR-A and ADR-B, our ADR-P series also have high slot fill factor and low cogging torque. Customer can design their own mechanical design based on their demand.
The ADR-F series are frameless motor. They have compact size which is appropriate for robotic application.
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
ACD series are ironless brushless motor. Our ACD series have no cogging torque so that they have smooth rotation. Frameless ACD-P series motors are available, consisting of only rotors and stators.
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
ACW series are also ironless brushless motor same as ACD series. Particularly, they have flat design and large center hole. So they are suitable for those applications which have height requirement.
Direct Drive Rotary Motor
AXD series have flat design and large center hole through unique mechanical design. But they are different from ACW series because they are iron core type of brushless motor. They have higher torque density and higher speed than ACW series.
AXM series have similar design with AXD but have higher speed and smaller volume.
The AGR series have high IP protection grade with same electromagnetic design as ADR-A and ADR-B. They are suitable for CNC applications with pollution.
ADR-H series have low rotor inertia and are suitable for indexing application.
Outer rotor permanent magnet motor,has higher torque than inner rotor motor.
Thin and compact framless motor,has high torque density, high speed and high cost performance. Suitable for robotic and 3D printer application.
